Teddies

Hello,
Here some teddy bears that I needlefelted.
I call them Ed and Betsy.
These don't have wire armatures, they are simply wool.

Garden Birds

Hello,
This weekend is the big garden birdwatch, so inspired by this, I created these cute garden birds.
A blue tit, ribbon and house sparrow, which is my favourite.

Romeo

Hello and happy New year,
Over Christmas I received two felting kits as gifts from my mum, both from world of wool.
This is the first, Romeo the rabbit.
The base of these makes are from armature wire which I had never used in my felting. You create a skeleton, then build up your wool. It's something I've often seen but never tried so it was new for me, but for a first go i think it turned out ok.
I'm looking forward to having another go and using my next kit, Pugsley.

Let me know what you think below and I will be sharing more soon.

Faces

Hello,
I have something a little different to share today, faces!
I wasn't sure what to make one day but had lots of flesh coloured wool so I started playing and created these. The first was the brown haired one.

This is the brown, my first attempt. I then created one with multi coloured hair. Each also has a flower and lead in her hair.
I called these two 'Dream' and 'Destiny'

These two were next, the ginger on inspired by my mum. These are called 'Faith' and 'Melody'

What do you think? Let me know in the comments.

Hare Family

Hello,
My project today is this sweet mum and baby hare. Originally I just made the mum but when I looked at it, it reminded me of the 'love you to the moon and back 'story I read as a child.
One of the first kits I ever got as a gift was a hare and they seem popular.

Hedgehogs

Hello,
Welcome to my needlefelting blog!
I'm so excited to share my needlefelted makes.
My first project are these cute hedgehogs, who doesn't like a hedgehog?
Recently we have had a couple visit the garden so I've been leaving water and mealworms out, which seem to go down well!
This inspired me to make some and thanks to a kit from Lincolnshire Fenn crafts, I made these.

I have made two so far, and just like the two from the garden, one is larger than the other!
It's the first time I've followed an online tutorial and used a reverse needle but I was really pleased with them.

I hope you've enjoyed my first make. Please follow the blog if you'd like to be kept up to date with my posts.
